The celebrations in this list draw on both Heathen traditions and atheopagan practices, blending Norse-inspired myth, seasonal cycles, and symbolic storytelling with a humanistic approach. Here, meaning comes from what we do, not what we believe. Rituals, personal growth activities, and acts of charity form the heart of these observances—honoring the old stories as metaphors, the turning of the year as a natural rhythm, and community as our greatest strength.
Please note that all of the rituals and activities found within are works in progress and are not in any way presented as authoritative ways of doing things. We share them in the spirit of community, to offer and receive suggestions, and to hopefully inspire others to create their own Humanistic Heathen practices. Likewise, we expect these practices to evolve over time, and the content within each holiday may also change accordingly.
